1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using JobOnTop (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

JobOnTop is a web application that connects to your Gmail account (with read-only access) to automatically detect and track job application emails. The Service uses AI to classify emails and display your job search progress on a dashboard.

3. Account & Access

  • You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
  • You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or underlying systems.
  • Abuse the sync functionality (e.g. automated scripting to bypass rate limits).
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.

5. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we access, store, and how we use it.

6. AI Classification

The Service uses artificial intelligence to classify emails. AI classification is not perfect and may occasionally misclassify emails or extract incorrect information. You should verify important application statuses directly with employers. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated classifications.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobOnTop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed job opportunities, incorrect status tracking, or data loss.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
